WHAT IS THE P.O.W.E.R GROUP ?
The P.O.W.E.R. Group (PG) is the first African American grassroots economic development fund for the North Tulsa community. P.O.W.E.R. is the acronym for People Owning Wealth & Equitable Real-estate. The PG was created in the spirit of UJAMAA, the fourth principle of KWANZAA. UJAMAA means to build our own businesses, control the economics of our own community and share in all its work and wealth. UJAMAA represents a commitment to the practice of cooperative economics and the work necessary to achieve it.
HOW TO CONTRIBUTE ?
One of the most important and effective ways you can support the PG fund is by joining the monthly recurring giving plan and help rebuild our community in the spirit of Black Wall Street. Providing committed scheduled contributions will assist in setting development goals for the future.

The P.O.W.E.R. Group offers every donor the opportunity to participate in BUYING BACK and REDEVELOPING our community in the same spirit as O. W. Gurley; in 1906, when he purchased 40 acres of land and birthed Black Wall Street on Greenwood. The funds generated will be used for land acquisition and community development in North Tulsa.
25 DONORS X $10 X 12 MONTHS = $3,000.00
25 DONORS X $25 X 12 MONTHS = $7,500.00
25 DONORS X $50 X 12 MONTHS = $15,000.00
25 DONORS X $100 X 12 MONTHS = $30,000.00
Your consistent contribution will help us control our economics and build wealth.
Contributions to The P.O.W.E.R Group are tax-deductible.
